The 2010 Business Expo and Kids Day will be held July 31 at Dublin Park

Now in its 18th year, the Business Expo has expanded to over 40 vendors. Once referred to as "Shop Madison First", the Chamber eliminated the moniker in order to include the surrounding areas of Madison that help service this trade area.

A walk through Dublin's gymnasium, and visitors will be greeted by businesses who supply services and goods right in Madison's neighborhoods, and they will have a chance to learn in detail what each business can provide.

Just some of the exhibitors this year include local restaurants, home repair/remodeling companies, mortgage companies, music and dance instruction, and babysitting services. Plus, each visitor will have a chance to win a pair of round trip tickets to Orlando, compliments of Huntsville's newest carrier, AirTran.

Admission to the Business Expo is free of charge, as are the hot dogs, games, and good times.

Kate Gray The last weekend of July should provide something for everyone in the City of Madison, as every park will be filled with entertainment and opportunity. At Dublin Park, the Madison Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Business Expo and Kids Day.

Now in its 18th year, the Business Expo has expanded to over 40 vendors. Once referred to as "Shop Madison First", the Chamber eliminated the moniker in order to include the surrounding areas of Madison that help service this trade area.

A walk through Dublin's gymnasium and visitors will be greeted by businesses who supply services and goods right in Madison's neighborhoods, and they will have a chance to learn in detail what each business can provide.

For the youngsters, Sci-Quest will be on hand to provide educational games and activities, Madison's SWAT team and Fire Department will be giving demonstrations, and HEMSI will be adding to the fun with showing kids what emergency preparedness really means.

For the sports fans, Madison will be full of soccer games on July 31, some of which will be making a special visit to the Expo just for fans. Players from Madison's own Rocket City United will conduct soccer contests while they warm up for the regional Final Four tournament to be held Saturday afternoon at the City School's stadium.

Admission to the Business Expo is free of charge, as are the hot dogs, games, and good times.

The Madison Chamber of Commerce thanks our generous sponsors of this year's Expo: Mortgage America, Madison Hospital, Redstone Federal Credit Union, Halsey Foodservice, Jump To It, and Elite Creations.
