The school year is nearing an end, warmer weather is here and soon music will fill the air on Thursday nights in downtown Madison.  The Madison Arts Council announced this week the lineup for the Madison Gazebo Concerts, which are held every Thursday night beginning in June.

The concert series will continue through August.

“This is a great time for the family to bring a picnic dinner, a lawn chair and enjoy great family music,” Coordinator Jan Wells said about the free concerts.

The series will open this year with the Madison Community Band conducted by Dave Ryan and the Olde Towne Brass. Start time is 6:30 p.m. and concerts last until approximately 8 p.m. They are held at the Village Green Gazebo in Historic Downtown Madison.

This year’s lineup includes:

• June 3 - Madison Community Band Olde Towne Brass
• June 10 - Jeffrey Scott Stewart
• June 17 - Cristina Lynn
• June 24 - North Alabama Songwriters presents: Donny Grace, Susan Grace, Will Stults, Lori Lovelace, Mary Justice Lucas
• July 1 - Percussive Artistry
• July 8 - Matt Prater
• July 15 - Madison Mountaintop Band
• July 22 - Jeff Whitlow and the Old Barn Band
• July 29 - Luis Trevino & the Soft Note Combo
• August 5 - Rocket City Chorus - Barbershop
• August 12 - Southern Gospel night with The Majestics, 4GVN, and Heavens Highway
• August 19 - Just Down the Road
• August 26 - Purple Ravens
