As the South’s Most All-Embracing ARTStravaganza, the annual Panoply® Arts Festival offers the best in music, dance, theater, and visual art. Set in downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring International Park and Von Braun Center, this year’s celebration—themed “Home is Where the HeART Is”—takes place Friday-Sunday, April 23-25.
Panoply hosts the Official Alabama State Fiddling Championship and Mountain Valley (MOVA) Songwriter’s Competition, and offers entrants a chance to compete in choreography, the State Farm Insurance “Homegrown Talent Contest,” photography, and writing ten-minute plays.
It will also highlight eight nations through its popular Global Village, a doorway into our region’s diverse, international culture and a very rare regional opportunity. The Colsa Corp.
“Arts in ACTION!” allows festivalgoers to see artists working in “real time,” while the empowering Knology “Get Rhythm!” drum circle provides stress-reducing musical recreation.
Festival hours are 5-9 p.m. on Friday, April 23; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 24; and noon-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 25.
