Music camp for kids to start June 28 in Madison
Staff Reports Madison Weekly
Since she was a young girl, Linda Austin has always had a passion for music and a love for sharing it with others. For over 20 years she has taught piano and other musical instruments to both children and adults.
On June 28 she will conduct a week-long summer camp at Colors Fine Arts Center in Madison, called “Classic Tunes & Tales.” The camp is designed for children ages 6-10 and will include a variety of musical instruments, including piano and drums.
“This will be a great way to introduce children to music,” said Austin. “We will have fun learning about the classics and incorporating fun musical activities.”
Colors Fine Arts Center is located at 7185 Hwy 72 W Suite J in Madison, near Steak Out.
The camp will include rhythm and drumming, music and imagery and an introduction into music theory.
To sign up, contact Linda Austin at 256-527-6560 or email her at keys88@bellsouth.net.
Austin will also host another week-long music camp in July, entitled, “Blast-Off to Piano.” It will be held July 26-30 at Colors and open for kids ages 5-6.
“This is a great way for parents to introduce their young children to piano,” she said.
Austin also is available for private lessons.
