A hearing to determine if a school shooting suspect will be tried as an adult was postponed again; this time until July 2.
Discovery Middle School ninth grader Todd Brown was shot and killed during a class change Feb. 5. The suspect in the case is a fellow 9th grader.
The judge over this case wants a mental evaluation completed before deciding if the case will go to the adult or juvenile court.
State prosecutor Tim Gann has been waiting on the decision and is pushing to certify the accused shooter as an adult.
"The nature of the charge, the violence of it, the seriousness of it. That's the main factor the state is leaning on when we filed this motion to certify," said Gann.
