Sixth grade students from Rainbow Elementary, along with faculty and parents, came together to create and build a memorial for beloved teacher, Linda Brown, who passed away last year.

Linda was a 5th grade science teacher at Rainbow Elementary. "It is with great honor to present this memorial to Linda's family and to the school," said Mrs. Dorinda White, principal of Rainbow Elementary.

According to White, Linda spoke often of wanting a sun dial in the school’s outdoor classroom. A parent at Rainbow designed the tree as well as the wall.

The students helped to build the memorial. Each branch of this tree symbolizes the four branches of science. On the face of the sundial reads "Time Flies", something Linda said frequently.
